Myths

The performance features intense lighting effects, including strobe lights.

The performance “Myths”, directed by Jakub Porcari, is an extraordinary journey into the world of gods and heroes, inspired by various versions of Greek mythology, with a clear reference to Hesiod’s “Theogony.” However, the creators of the performance go much further – their interpretation is immersed in the aesthetics and sensibility of contemporary pop culture.

On stage, we will meet the most powerful inhabitants of Olympus: Zeus, Hades, Apollo, Athena, Poseidon, and Hera. There will also be fascinating stories of heroes – the demigod Heracles and his twelve legendary labors, and the brave Theseus.

“Myths” is a performance where music and songs play a huge role, building the rhythm of the story and giving it a contemporary character. The creators combine humor with reflection, lightness with depth, and viewers can expect both good fun and moments of emotion. It is a story about power, ambition, relationships, and human (or perhaps divine?) weaknesses – shown in a modern, fresh, and moving way.
