The Amazing Adventures of Ten Socks

Based on the text by Justyna Bednarek

The performance The Amazing Adventures of Ten Socks will transport the audience of Teatr Pinokio in Łódź not to one, but to ten worlds – created primarily through the extraordinary power of unbridled imagination. The script written “for five actors, ten hands, ten feet” is a touch of mystery, a fable with a moral, and one with a happy ending. Jumping with the socks into the hole beneath the washing machine, we will embark on a mysterious and surprising journey, and along the way discover the answer to a question the whole world has been pondering forever…

Each of us has wondered at some point where the socks thrown into the washing machine disappear to. That they disappear – that’s a fact, since we put them in as pairs and take them out individually. The Pinokio team seems to know the answer to the question that has plagued not only children but also sock-loving adults for ages. Well, the missing socks set out into the world, make dizzying careers, and have great adventures: they become film stars, detectives, mouse mothers, or simply seal a crow’s nest.
