The Little Prince

Based on the text by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, adapted by Danuta Sadkowska.

Each of us knows “The Little Prince” as required school reading. We have become accustomed to the idea that this is a work intended for younger readers. At Teatr Pinokio in Łódź, the title is presented in the version originally intended by the author himself—for, and above all about, adults. Can a story familiar to everyone conceal new, unexpected meanings? Look at the child within yourself and discover this together with us.

An actor in a white, high collar and turban with a silver ornament on his chest raises white gloves above his forehead, forming a triangular frame with his hands, against a colorful set design.
An actress in an intensely red costume with sculptural ruffles around the neck and a red hat with a veil stands behind pastel scenic forms against a red background.
Two actors on a shiny stage—a woman in a blue coat and pink leggings and a man in a turquoise suit with a yellow scarf—stand by a large, yellow, triangular form on wheels.
A figure in a black jacket and yellow trousers with a head shaped like a globe covered in mathematical patterns applies a stethoscope to a large, porous rock formation against a green background.
A kneeling actor in a green shirt and blue trousers, behind him a figure in a shiny black, insect-like costume with a hood and goggles, against abstract rock formations.
Six actors in colorful costumes on stage with pastel rock formations; above them hangs a red airplane, and one actress holds a drawing of a boa constrictor that has swallowed an elephant.
Two actors sit in a textured, rocky boat on wheels amid dense blue stage fog, illuminated by a beam of white light.
