Tuliluli

Tuliluli is a performance – a type of theatrical installation. The script was created with the youngest audience in mind, those who do not yet think in a narrative way. The dramatic progression of the performance is secondary here. Simple structural frameworks – guided from waking to falling asleep again – are complemented by visuals and movement. The soft, fluffy space, play of lights, and rounded shapes foster a child’s sense of security, stimulating their creativity and desire to explore the world. Dance and elements of pantomime help to familiarize them with the surrounding space.

During several theatrical études, participants, together with the actresses, embark on a journey through the world of the night sky: they play with moonlight, balloon clouds, and fly to the moon, which falls to earth in the form of a large, bright sphere. Each phenomenon is accompanied by a different musical sound, creating the impression that the sky pulsates with its own music.

The performance was inspired by the artistic and research project “Baby space” by Dalija Aćin Thelander, realized by Art Stations Foundation/Stary Browar New Dance for Children.
