KORALINA (Neil Gaiman)

The play directed by Karolina Maciejaszek is adaptation of the famous novel “Coraline” by Neil Gaiman. It is a fantasy story coterminous with horror. The main heroine like a contemporary Alice in the Wonderland gets into a world which is behind a mysterious door. There, she discovers a surreal reality of fulfilled wishes and fantasies: at first – alluring as a most wonderful dream, and then – terrifying like a worst nightmare. The spectacle produced by Pinokio Theatre is a allude to the horror fiction style. The spectacle producers try to render the distressful and gloomy atmosphere of the British autor’s tale by combining live set theatre with puppetry.

A major theme of the play is the child’s confrontation with his or her fears. NB: For the brave only!
